Available Serigraphs

But, 1st…..what exactly is a serigraph? Serigraphs are hand made limited edition prints created using a modern day process that’s modeled after the old world technique of silk screening. The process involves the layering of transparent inks, usually 10-16 different colors.

All of the serigraph images are derived from Hook’s original paintings and are printed in an unusually low edition number. Limited editions assure the collector of the finest printing quality and the utmost value. Each serigraph is hand pulled providing each print with it’s own individual quality. The serigraphs are printed on antique Somerset 100% cotton, acid free paper. Each serigraph is signed, numbered, and chop marked by hand and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

These serigraphs have a luminous quality that resemble a wood block print - the work of Gustave Baumann (1881-1971) has had an obvious influence on Hook’s printmaking. To this end, in an attempt to carry on the tradition of printmaking by using today’s superior methods and materials, William Hook is able to push his imagery further.
